Mary Biddinger will read from her recent p oetry and prose\, and will discuss the new essay collection \;A Mo llusk Without a Shell: Essays on Self-Care for Writers\, which she ed ited with Julie Brooks Barbour.
\nMary Biddinger&rsquo\;s latest poe try collections are \;Partial Genius: Prose Poems \;and \;Depa rtment of Elegy\, both with Black Lawrence Press. She is also the co-edito r\, with Julie Brooks Barbour\, of \;A Mollusk Without a Shell: Essays on Self-Care for Writers\, which will be published by the University of A kron Press in spring 2024. Biddinger&rsquo\;s poems have appeared in a var iety of journals including \;Diode\, \;The Laurel Review\, and&nbs p\;Pithead Chapel\, and have been featured on \;Poetry Daily \;and \;The Slowdown. Biddinger&rsquo\;s flash fiction has been published i n \;Always Crashing\, \;DIAGRAM\, \;Gone Lawn\, and \;Sout hern Indiana Review\, among others. She has received awards and fellowship s from the National Endowment for the Arts\, Ohio Arts Council\, and Cleve land Arts Prize. Biddinger is Professor and Chair of English at the Univer sity of Akron\, where she teaches in the NEOMFA program and serves as poet ry editor for the University of Akron Press.
