John Adam Wasowicz has lived in the Alexan dria section of Fairfax County for 40 years. He has practiced law in the p ublic and private sectors since 1985\, including service as an Asst. Commo nwealth Attorney. \;

His first book\, &ldquo\;Daingerfie
ld Island\,&rdquo\; published in 2017\, introduced readers to Mo Katz\, th
e protagonist in the series. Since then\, Wasowicz has written five additi
onal mysteries tracing the adventures of Katz and his entourage as they so
lve crimes throughout Old Town Alexandria.
Other books in th
e series include &ldquo\;Hazel Falls\,&rdquo\; a fictitious venue for the
Alexandria Water Treatment Plant in the Eisenhower Valley where &lsquo\;Ha
zel\,&rsquo\; a massive boring device\, is currently completing the AlexRe
new water restoration project\; and &ldquo\;Jones Point\,&rdquo\; a thrill
er that includes a plot to smuggle surface-to-air missiles onto the Wilson
Bridge.
The seventh book in the series &mdash\; &ldquo\;Spi
te House&rdquo\; &mdash\; will be published in spring 2024. \;
Wasowicz describes himself as "an old school mystery writer" influe
nced by Agatha Christie and Raymond Chandler\, who he describes as two of
the great masters of the genre. He has lectured at several Lifelong Le
arning Institute programs in Virginia about how writing keeps the min
d agile as one ages. \;
