 Explorers\, a New York based organization was formed in 1994 to promote in
 terest in protecting the environment through knowledge and awareness as we
 ll as in underwater photography. Photography\, multimedia slide presentati
 ons\, lectures and freelance writing are all used to accomplish this goal.
  Their photography and writing have been featured in many publications suc
 h as Natural Geographic Adventure\, Immersed\, Advanced Diver\, Discover D
 iving\, Diver Magazine\, Sport Diving\, Lighthouse Digest\, WW II Magazine
  and other national and international magazines. Organizations such as Ben
 eath the Sea (largest consumer dive show in North America)\, Boston Sea Ro
 vers\, Our World Underwater\, the JASON Project (founded by Robert Ballard
 )\, Long Island Diving Association (LIDA)\, the&nbsp\; Board of Cooperativ
 e Educational Services of Nassau County (BOCES) and the Atlantis Marine Wo
 rld Aquarium has also used their work.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Christopher W
 eaver and Michael Salvarezza\, who make up Eco-Photo Explorers\, live on L
 ong Island\, New York\, have been scuba diving together since 1978 and sta
 rted seriously photographing the undersea world in 1989. Since then\, they
  have spent hundreds of hours underwater accumulating and putting together
