 lunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program\, is a county-wide initiative
  that helps individuals and families save on tax preparation fees and keep
  more of their hard-earned money. The program has been running since 2003 
 and has brought back over $540 million in tax refunds to the Broward Count
 y community. The VITA program is a national IRS initiative established in 
 1969 and is operated by community partners. It provides free tax preparati
 on assistance with an accuracy rate of 94 percent and ensures taxpayers cl
 aim all applicable credits for which they qualify.</p>\n<p><img src="https

 merican Research Library and Cultural Center&nbsp\;</strong><br />The&nbsp
 \;Broward County African American Research Library and Cultural Center&nbs
 p\;(AARLCC)&nbsp\;is located in the Sistrunk community\, one of the oldest
  historically Black communities named for one of Fort Lauderdale&rsquo\;s 
 first Black physicians. Opening to the public on October 26\, 2002\, AARLC
 C became the third public library of its kind in the United States dedicat
 ed to the study of Black history and culture. The 60\,000-square-foot Cent
 er serves as a repository of materials related to the local\, national\, a
 nd international voices of the African diaspora\, with more than 85\,000 b
 ooks\, manuscripts\, artifacts\, framed art\, print\, photography\, audiov
 isual\, and documents held in our Adult Services Section and Special Colle
 ctions. The Youth Services Section features a special collection of Corett
 a Scott King Award books and the&nbsp\;Ashley Bryan Art Collection&nbsp\;f
 rom illustrators of African Descent. AARLCC also features a 5\,000 sq. ft.
  museum\, a 300-seat state-of-the-art theatre\, and a Computer Training Ce
