The architect of 1963&rsquo\;s momentous M arch on Washington\, Bayard Rustin was one of the greatest activists and o rganizers the world has ever known. He challenged authority\, never apolog ized for who he was\, what he believed\, or who he desired. And he did not back down. He made history\, and in turn\, he was forgotten.
\nProd uced by Barack and Michelle Obama's production company Higher Ground\, the film stars Colman Domingo in the title role\, alongside Chris Rock\, Glyn n Turman\, Aml Ameen\, Gus Halper\, CCH Pounder\, Da'Vine Joy Randolph\, J ohnny Ramey\, Michael Potts\, Jeffrey Wright\, and Audra McDonald. Rus tin shines a long overdue spotlight on the extraordinary man who\, al ongside giants like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.\, Adam Clayton Powell Jr.\, and Ella Baker\, dared to imagine a different world and inspired a moveme nt in a march toward freedom. Colman Domingo received his first Oscar nomi nation for Rustin\, in the Best Actor for a Leading Role category.
