Lara Avery is the author of three Young Ad ult \;novels \;for \;Alloy Entertainment\, \;and her artic les and essays appear in \;Good Housekeeping and \;the \;San F rancisco Chronicle. Her debut novel for adults\, The Year of Seco nd Chances was \;published by William Morrow in August 2023. She received the \;2017 Minnesota Book Award \;for \;The Memor y Book\, \;a \;2020 AWP Intro Journals \;Honorable Mention\, a nd has been awarded spots at the \;Loghaven Residency \;as well as the residency at the \;Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts.
