 stance will be available February 5 &ndash\; April 15\, 2024 for low-to-mo
 derate income Montgomery County taxpayers. Trained volunteers through the 
 AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Program will provide services at the Twinbrook Li
 brary on Tuesdays from February 6 - April 9. Services are by appointment o
 nly\; scheduling for tax appointments will open on January 29 and can be m
 ade online at&nbsp\;www.taxaidemc.info&nbsp\;or by calling 240-777-2577 (p
 hone lines open Monday &ndash\; Friday from 9am-4pm).</p>\n<p>What to Brin
 g to Your Appointment</p>\n<p>General<br />&bull\; Federal and State retur
 n(s) for 2021 and 2022. TaxAide can prepare and amend returns for 2023\, 2
 022&nbsp\;&amp\; 2020<br />&bull\; Social Security cards for yourself and 
 every individual&nbsp\;on your return<br />&bull\; Photo I.D. required for
  all taxpayers.<br />&bull\; Void check or documentation of bank routing&n
 bsp\;number and account number if you want to direct&nbsp\;deposit any ref
 und(s) into your bank account.<br />&bull\; All letters or other documenta
 tion received from IRS&nbsp\;concerning your 2022 tax return\, issuance of
  an IRS&nbsp\;Identity Protection PIN\, or any other correspondence.</p>\n

 ions<br />Most taxpayers have a choice of taking either a&nbsp\;standard d
 eduction or itemizing their deductions.&nbsp\;If you have a substantial am
 ount of deductions\,&nbsp\;you may want to itemize. You will need to bring
  the&nbsp\;following information:<br />&bull\; 1098 Form showing any home 
 mortgage interest<br />&bull\; A list of medical/dental expenses (includin
 g doctor&nbsp\;and hospital bills and medical insurance premiums)\,&nbsp\;
 a list of prescription medicines\, costs of assisted&nbsp\;living services
 \, and bills for home improvements&nbsp\;such as ramps and railings for pe
