Storytelling is a people-centric approach to landscape design based on how most of us learned to read\, write\, and tell stories. You'll glean three main messages about this approach:
\n< ol>\nThis approach was dev eloped over a 35-year period in an effort to greatly reduce the angst and anxiety that often accompanies learning how to develop landscape designs. The use of storytelling is a valid approach to design \;a meaningful l andscape. By expressing the design guidelines through landscape components \, the characteristics of the story are mirrored in the landscape. What st ory does your garden tell?
\nAbout the Presenter
\nBob Scarfo is a registered landscape architect in Washington and Mas sachusetts. His company\, Land and Life\, is a diversified land planning c onsulting company that works with local interest groups in highly particip atory problem-solving environments.
\nFor the past 25 years\, Bob ha s focused on design for aging in place and ways an environment can contrib ute to the dignity and well-being of people living with autism and various forms of memory loss.
