  you&rsquo\;ll have a chance to check out Geelong&rsquo\;s earliest major 
 reservoir\, Upper Stony Creek Reservoir #1 (opened in 1873) including the 
 imposing water tower\, the original caretakers cottage\, and walk along th
 e embankment\, which at the time of construction was one of the highest in
  the world.</p>\n<p>A bus will take us to the reservoir\, a pleasant 45 mi
 nute drive from Geelong. All up we&rsquo\;ll be walking around 1 kilometre
  over unmade paths with some inclines\, so a reasonable level of fitness i
 s needed. We&rsquo\;ll be leaving Geelong Library &amp\; Heritage Centre a
 t 9.30am and will return by around 12.30pm. The walking tour itself takes 
 around 1 hour\, and there will also be time for a quick BYO cuppa and snac
 k. Public toilets are available at the reservoir and the library.</p>\n<p>
 Ensure you register to attend as places are limited!</p>\n<p>Where to meet
