X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p><strong>This Program is for Teens\, ages 1
3-18\, and registration is required.</strong></p>\n<p>Teens are under almo
st constant pressure to perform well at school\, fit in socially\, and tak
e part in extracurricular activities and sports. Not to mention pressures
that may be present at home. At home\, there may be pressures to get along
with or raise siblings\, to hold down a job\, to manage household chores\
, and to cope with potentially unsafe living environments.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;<b
 r />&nbsp\;<br />If left unmanaged\, these stressors can lead to chronic p
roblems like anxiety\, depression\, misuse of substances\, and even physic
al health conditions. The good news is teens can learn how to manage stres
 s effectively\, so they don't feel as anxious\, overwhelmed\, or paralyzed
. With the help of a licensed professional counselor Teens will learn:&nbs
p\;<br />&nbsp\;<br />1. To describe the difference between stress and anx
iety to identify our stress signs and symptoms so we can better manage our
own stress levels&nbsp\;&nbsp\;<br />&nbsp\;<br />2. Explore what causes
the stress response in our bodies and the potential physical\, mental\, an
 d social impacts of long-term\, unmanaged stress&nbsp\;&nbsp\;<br />&nbsp\
;<br />3. Learn and practice at least 3 ways our brains&rsquo\; relaxation
response can be strengthened to reduce the amount of stress that stays in
  our bodies.&nbsp\;<br />&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Questions about this program?&nbs
