 La Roche is the Cultural Heritage Informaticist / Librarian Supervisor Adu
 lt Information Services at the Broward County African American Research Li
 brary and Cultural Center. She earned a Ph.D. in Cultural Heritage Informa
 tics\, Communications and Information Science from the University of South
  Carolina\, an M.Ed. in Divergent Learning from Columbia College (South Ca
 rolina) and a BFA in Photography\, Creative Arts Therapy from the School o
 f Visual Arts.</p>\n<p>Dr. La Roche is a seasoned Cultural Heritage profes
 sional working with galleries\, libraries\, archives\, museums\, repositor
 ies\, and Digital Humanities projects\, Virtual and Augmented Reality plat
 forms. Focusing on South Carolina Gullah\, Florida\, Caribbean\, African d
 iasporic historical and family research\, content development\, academic/a
 rt education/digital literacy\, virtual\, face to face instruction\, and i
 n-services. She is a divergent education specialist providing related facu
 lty\, staff\, etc. DEI training\, and special events.</p>\n<p style="text-
 align: center\;">The Genealogical Society of Broward County (GSBC) meets m
 onthly<br />on the first Sunday of every month except when there is a holi
