Claire Olsen\, Founder and President of Piper&rsquo\;s Purpose\, will l ead an interactive\, informative\, supportive training for health professi onals working in the infertility\, pregnancy and infant loss communities. Using their original acronym\, PIPER\, health professionals will gain a be tter understanding and concrete steps to supporting families during shock and grief following loss\, as well as nurture their own emotional response s to working with these families. The entire session will be 2 hrs and wil l include interactive training (Grief Framework: confident approaches)\, p arent panel/time for discussion and a light activity that will allow parti cipants time to interact and explore creative approaches to grief.
\nThis program was created with the intention for participants to feel safe and supported as they learn\, get curious and discuss challenging topics.
\nPiper's Purpose is a secular\, inclusive\, open -minded organizat ion that is always learning how to best serve all people within the infert ility\, pregnancy and infant loss communities.
\nAll participants wi ll receive a customized packet of information related to infertility\, pre gnancy and infant loss\, and can request more materials at no cost during or after the program. \;
\nIntended participants: RN\, PA\, OBGY N\, US Tech\, maternal/fetal medicine specialist\, NP\, medical office man ager\, family practice physician or staff\, hospital based social worker\, perinatal bereavement coordinator\, perinatal nurse navigator. \;
