 the beloved PBS television program <em>Reading Rainbow</em>. The series st
 arted as a summer program\, to compensate for a slide in the reading abili
 ties in children while on break from school\, but quickly grew. Over a 26-
 year run\, from 1983 to 2006\, <em>Reading Rainbow</em> won more than 250 
 awards\, including the prestigious George Foster Peabody award and 26 Emmy
 s.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>The 87-minute documentary film looks back at the beginni
 ngs of <em>Reading Rainbow</em>\, and the mission of its beloved host LeVa
 r Burton\, to inspire a love of reading and build lasting connections betw
 een kids and books.</p>\n<p>This special screening is free and open to the
