  Cogdill\, who will share with us the importance of mysteries and their ro
 le in reflecting or dissecting societal norms.</p>\n<p>Honored guests will
  include the Rubel Family: Howard\, Matthew\, and Laurence Rubel\, Broward
  Public Library Foundation members\, dignitaries\, and friends of the Rube
 l Family.</p>\n<p>The Broward Public Library Foundation has the pleasure o
 f working with the family of the late Isabel &amp\; Stanley Rubel\, both a
 vid readers and supporters of the Broward County library\, to create this 
 endowment fund in their memory.&nbsp\; Their three sons Howard\, Matthew a
 nd Laurence recall their parent's love of reading mystery novels\,&nbsp\;w
 hich brought them into the Pompano Beach Library regularly.&nbsp\;In the c
 reation of the fund\, Howard Rubel expressed how his parents &ldquo\;had g
 reat vision to see the possibilities of Pompano Beach&rdquo\;&nbsp\;and th
 at the family is &ldquo\;delighted to give back to a community. that Isabe
 l and Stanley joined&nbsp\;over 65 years ago.&rdquo\;</p>\n<p>The Isabel &
 amp\; Stanley Rubel Family Endowment Fund has been created through gifts f
 rom friends\, family\, and community members.&nbsp\;Income generated by th
 e endowment fund is being&nbsp\;used to promote new and upcoming mystery a
 uthors. New&nbsp\;books will be added to the Broward County Library\, coll
 ection and author talks will be hosted at the Pompano Beach Library.</p>\n
 <p>To date\, the fund has purchased over 40 volumes for the library. Plans
  are in place to add to the collection in 2024 and in the years ahead.</p>
