 ollege of Maryland</a>&nbsp\;in conjunction with Historic St. Mary&rsquo\;

 3">August 2: 9 am &ndash\; 4 pm at Piscataway Park</a> in conjunction with
  the Accokeek Foundation</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Choose a date and location that w
 orks for you. Institute is free with lunch&nbsp\;included\, but you must r
 egister in advance.</p>\n<h2><strong>Each institute will feature:</strong>
 </h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Hands on experience with a new website providing in-depth
  searchable access to the history of Black\, Indigenous\, and other People
  of Color across Southern Maryland.&nbsp\; Geared to MSDE teaching standar
 ds.&nbsp\;</li>\n<li>Learning about local Southern Maryland history and si
 gn posts from local historian and archaeologist Dr. Julie King.</li>\n<li>
 An Expo of local institutions providing a wealth of information on the his
 tory and opportunities for field trips and classroom presentations.</li>\n
 <li>MSDE CPD credit!</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This institute will include time to e
 xplore the resources at Calvert Marine Museum\, including maritime culture
 \, plus a cruise on the Tennyson after the session.</p>\n<p>The institutes
  are brought to you by the <a href="https://calvertlibrary.info/research-l
 earn/southern-maryland-equity-in-history-coalition/">Southern Maryland Equ
 ity in History Coalition</a> which includes the active participation and s
 upport of the Calvert\, Charles\, and St. Mary&rsquo\;s Public School Syst
