 r. Stephanie Y. Evans and her work on historical wellness\, <em>Africana T
 ea</em> unveils the roots of Black women&rsquo\;s international tea cultur
 e. From hibiscus in Egypt and Jamaica to black tea in Kenya\, sassafras or
  orange pekoe iced tea in the US South\, and aromatic herbal teas of Calif
 ornia\, Black women&rsquo\;s wellness is steeped in tea history. This tea 
 table book traces the historical\, geographic\, health\, and educational t
 raditions of collective care and offers a tea-tasting journal for self-car
 e.</p>\n<p>Books will be available for purchase and signing from&nbsp\;Bla
 ck Dot Cultural Center.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>This program is free and open to th
 e public. Registration is requested.</p>\n<hr />\n<p>Dr. Stephanie Y. Evan
 s is Full Professor and former Director of Women's\, Gender\, and Sexualit
 y Studies (WGSS) at Georgia State University. As a Professor of Black Wome
 n's Studies\, she is the author of three books and co-editor of five books
 \, published through University Press of Florida\, State University of New
  York Press\, and Wayne State University Press. She headed Clark Atlanta U
 niversity's Department of African American Studies\, Africana Women's Stud
 ies\, and History (AWH) and was a Director of the African American Studies
  Program at University of Florida.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p><img src="https://static

 jpeg" width="81" height="81" alt="" /></p>\n<p>Moderating the talk is Dr. 
 La&rsquo\;Neice Littleton who holds a Ph.D. in Humanities with concentrati
 ons in African American Studies and History. Dr. Littleton has taught mult
 iple courses in Humanities\, History\, and African American Studies at ins
 titutions such as Clark Atlanta University\, Morehouse College\, and Agnes
  Scott College. She is a member of the National Council for Black Studies 
 and the Association for the Study of African American Life and History. As
  a public historian specializing in community engagement\, Dr. Littleton w
 orks to provide community members access to gathering and preserving histo
