Witness a profoundly important date in his tory come to life with a presentation by Minnesotan historian and educator Arn Kind held in honor of the 80th anniversary of D-Day\, the date when t he Allied nations launched Operation Overlord\, the surprise invasion of F rance.

In this living history performance\, Kind will bring histor y alive with a realistic portrayal of the invasion\, which was accomplishe d by thousands of intrepid young American\, British and Canadian soldiers parachuting out of the sky behind enemy lines and wading through heavy sur f onto the beaches of Normandy.

Admission is free thanks in part t o funding from the Minnesota Arts &\; Cultural Heritage Legacy fund and is offered by Lake Agassiz Regional Library. This program is offered in c ollaboration with Northern Exposure to Lifelong Learning and will be held at the American Legion in Bagley. \;
