 </p>\n<p>During this class you will accompany yourself on the ukulele as w
 e sing songs that include but are not limited to:&nbsp\;Row Your Boat\, Sh
 orten' Bread\, Thanks a Lot\, Oh My Darling Clementine\, Down in the Valle
 y\, Tom Dooley\, and Brother John.</p>\n<p><strong>The techniques you will
  learn in this series include:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>The names of the op
 en strings</li>\n<li>How to read tab notation</li>\n<li>How to read chord 
 diagrams</li>\n<li>How to read a box chart to follow the chord changes of 
 a song</li>\n<li>Two finger picking patterns</li>\n<li>Two strumming patte
 rns</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Speaker Bio:</strong>&nbsp\;Instructor Mary Sa
 pulich is a college trained guitarist\, now certified to teach ukulele. Sh
 e is also a retired IT Professional.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Mary is classic
 ally a trained guitarist and has played guitar in the Moraine Valley Commu
 nity Jazz band for several years. She has taught private guitar lessons th
 roughout college and now teaches ukulele on <a href="https://www.youtube.c
