The Manhattan Short Film Festival is back for its 26th season\, featuring a brand-new set of short films for 2024. T his annual event takes place in more than 400 cities across six continents \, where film lovers are given the unique opportunity to watch and vote on a selection of exceptional short films. This year's festival will present a selection of 10 short films\, each no longer than 18 minutes\, represen ting a wide variety of genres\, including drama\, comedy\, animation\, and documentary. The films have been selected from hundreds of entries from a round the world\, providing audiences with a captivating cinematic experie nce during a single week.
\nEvery film selected for Manhattan Short 2024 will be automatically qualified for the Oscars of 2025. Additionally\ , Manhattan Short does a full week's run at a cinema in Hollywood which is advertised in the LA Weekly\, providing an excellent platform for emergin g filmmakers to showcase their work to a global audience. This unique fest ival format unites audiences across the globe through the shared experienc e of watching great films\, while also providing a stage for emerging film makers to reach a global audience and be recognized for their exceptional work.
