 Speaker bio&nbsp\;</strong><br />Davis Schneiderman is the Executive Direc
 tor of the Krebs Center for the Humanities and Professor of English at Lak
 e Forest College. He is the Principal Investigator for a $1.2 million gran
 t from the Mellon Foundation for a project called&nbsp\;<a href="https://w
 ww.lakeforest.edu/news-and-events/krebs-center-for-the-humanities-receives
 -12-million-artificial-intelligence-grant">HUMAN: Humanities Understanding
  of the Machine-Assisted Nexus</a>. This multi-year initiative explores ar
 tificial intelligence from a humanities perspective. As part of this work\
 , Dr. Schneiderman speaks to audiences about AI in education\, the workfor
 ce\, and beyond.&nbsp\;<br />&nbsp\;<br />Dr. Schneiderman is a novelist\,
  journalist\, scholar\, and the author and editor of novels and critical c
 ollections. His scholarly work focuses on areas of contemporary interest\,
  including artificial intelligence\, copyright and digital plagiarism\, re
 mix culture\, and technology. He is working on several projects connected 
 to issues of Artificial Intelligence\, including projects about the Gratef
 ul Dead and technology and editorial work for Cambridge University Press. 
 He previously served as Lake Forest College&rsquo\;s Krebs Provost and Dea
