This lighthearted workshop will explore ho w simple generative writing and the use of form poetry can help &ldquo\;no n-poets&rdquo\; access their inner muse and nurture self-expression. Poetr y forms will include French Pantoum and Cinquain.
\nThis is one of e leven poetry events occurring at the first annual Inland Northwest Poetry Salon on June 1st.
\nThis first-annual\, day-long event at the Liber ty Park Library (402 S. Pittsburg Street) will feature panels\, poetry wor kshops and a bevy of local writers. The Inland NW Poetry Salon celebrates the craft of poetry\, spotlights regional poets\, and welcomes participant s in all phases of their writing lives.
\nAbout the presenter: Heath er Berndt is a trained spiritual director and expressive arts facilitator in Spokane. A student of many wisdom traditions and artistic mediums\, Hea ther offers workshops exploring the holy trinity of creativity\, spiritual ity\, and transpersonal psychology. For seven years she co-led the creativ e cohort program at the Monastery of St. Gertrude in Cottonwood\, ID.
