You may know him as one half of the folk-rock duo Batdorf &\; Rodney or as a member of the '70s hit band Silver whose song "Wham Bam" ha d a recent resurgence after it was featured in the "Guardians of the Galax y ll." He&rsquo\;s also a successful film and TV composer\, session vocali st and inspirational musician in the substance recovery community.
\nIn his five-decade career\, Batdorf worked with music industry icons such as David Geffen\, Adele\, James Horner\, \;Jimmie Haskell\, Bill Cont i\, Rod Stewart\, Donna Summer\, Dwight Yoakum\, David Lee Roth and \; Motley Crü\;e and many others. In the realm of film and TV\, he&rsquo\ ;s lent his voice and compositional skills to beloved shows such as "Tom a nd Jerry Kids\," "Garfield and Friends\," "Touched by an Angel\," "Promise d Land\," "Doctor\, Doctor" and "Book of Days."
\nBatdorf continues to collaborate with legendary Utah-based singer\, composer and filmmaker M ichael McLean. Together as Batdorf &\; McLean\, they've launched a uniq ue substance abuse survival platform\, and released the CD "Soundtrax2Reco very." He has also released new music collaboratively with his old partner Mark Rodney and James Lee Stanley. Since 2004\, he&rsquo\;s released nine solo albums on his own imprint\, \;BATMAC MUSIC. More recently\, John has released several new CDs and EPs including "Me and My Guitar\," "Side II" and\, his latest release\, "I&rsquo\;m Not Givin&rsquo\; Up."
