Understanding Periods: Starting with the basics\, we'll have an open and inclusive discussion about menstruation\, covering topics like what periods are and why they happen.
\nExplorin g Period Products: Get ready to discover a variety of period prod ucts\, both disposable and reusable! From traditional pads and tampons to innovative options like menstrual cups\, discs\, cloth pads\, and period u nderwear (and bathing suits!)\, we'll explore the diverse range of product s available to suit every body.
\nHow to Use Period Products : Feeling unsure about how to use certain period products? Don't worry\, we'll walk you through it step by step! Our friendly and knowledge able facilitators will demonstrate how to use each type of product\, inclu ding tips for insertion\, removal\, and proper disposal or care.

\nMs. Moxie's Moon Shop is a menstrual health boutique in Old Town\, Alexandria\, VA where T.M.I. do esn&rsquo\;t exist. Designed to break the taboo surrounding menstrual heal th (menstruation through menopause and all the phases in between and beyon d!)\, Ms. Moxie's provides workshops\, resources\, and products that are g ood for you and the environment AND build community. \;
\nZayda Morales works for the City of Alexandria Health Department and is the Community Education Specia list at the Teen Wellness Center in Alexandria. Originally from Guatemala\ , Zayda \;has two adult children\, Andrea and Javier\, a wonderful lif e partner named Mark and a wonderful\, but naughty dog named Rocco. Zayda works \;to spread the word about teen health\, and about the services the Teen Wellness Center provides by going out into the community\, speaki ng at schools or at any other group or event.
