 n<p>The Friends of Delaware County District Library are thrilled to host N
 YT best-selling author Joyce Maynard for the release of her new novel&nbsp
 \;<em>How the Light Gets In&nbsp\;</em>during an enchanted evening at the&
 nbsp\;<strong>Dempsey Event Center</strong>. In addition to her storied ca
 reer as a writer of books about family\, love and loss Joyce is also rever
 ed for her memoir writing and healing workshops.</p>\n<p>The evening will 
 start in the Sanctuary with demonstrations of Chi Gong and Singing Bowls b
 y experts from the Dempsey Center. Joyce will speak about her new novel an
 d be in conversation with local writing legend Lee Martin\, a professor at
  The Ohio State University.</p>\n<p>After the presentations\, guests will 
 enjoy wine and charcuterie\, and have the opportunity to further explore t
 he healing properties of Chi Gong and Singing Bowls. Visitors can also joi
 n in making a &ldquo\;cork person&rdquo\; featured in&nbsp\;<em>Count the 
 Ways&nbsp\;</em>and tour the herb gardens on the beautiful grounds of the 
 historic Dempsey Center. <strong>Each ticket will include a copy of&nbsp\;
