Kevin was raised in Rochester\, Minnesota where he graduated with a civil engineering degree. \; Having determin ed that he was not ready for a 9 to 5 job following a job interview in Chi cago\, he became a volunteer with the Peace Corps. He served a two-year to ur in Yemen building water supply systems for villages. After returning to the States\, he found employment back in Chicago with the federal governm ent. He has worked for the US Army Corps of Engineers\, Federal Emergency Management Agency\, and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. While li ving in Chicago with his interest in architecture\, he became a docent wit h the Chicago Architecture Center (CAC). For more 25 than years he has lea d tour groups of students\, teachers\, families\, engineers and the public with the City as the museum. He has lectured on engineering innovations i n Chicago&rsquo\;s skyscrapers\, history of dams\, living in Yemen\, hydro logy and the Columbian Exposition. \;
