 \, and amateur historian. Thomas Embley has been called &ldquo\;a man of m
 any talents&rdquo\;\, but art has always been his driving passion. Drawing
  and painting since childhood\, Thomas shifted from primarily acrylic and 
 watercolors to oils in 2020 and immediately fell in love with the medium. 
 His original oil paintings are inspired by the beauty in the world\, the h
 umor in the mundane\, how light dances and interacts with spaces and objec
 ts\, and landscapes of places which spring emotion and memory in the viewe
 r.</p>\n<p style="text-align: justify\;">Raised in Cottonwood Heights\, Th
 omas now lives in Millcreek with his wife and puppy.</p>\n<p style="text-a
 lign: justify\;">Please join us at a reception for Thomas and this exhibit
 \, Friday\, May 3\, from 6-6:45 pm along with musical accompaniment by Aus
 tin Stoddard. Embley's art will be on display at the Millcreek Branch thro
