In this 1.5 hour workshop\, Teaching Artis t\, Creativity Coach and Doll Maker Victoria Reeves will teach you how to hand-sew and embellish your own Empowerment Doll. Victoria has taught in s chools\, community centers and museums around Chicagoland. She also sells her own Empowerment Dolls at local art fairs and teaches her Creativity La b course online. \;
\nEach Empowerment Doll has an inspirational message and intention. What (one word) message would you like your doll t o express? We will think of these ideas as we design and make our dolls.\n
First you will choose from an array of brightly-colored doll forms\ , heads (complete with many shades of skin)\, hair\, buttons\, beads and t rim. Then you'll stuff your doll\, hand-sew the head to the body\, add hai r\, draw on the face and embellish it with trim\, buttons and beads. Final ly\, you&rsquo\;ll write a positive message on the back and give your uniq ue doll a name. Put it in a special place at home\, as a reminder that you are powerful and wonderful! \;
