Hessie Jones

\n

Hessie Jones is a Writer\, Strategist and Inve stor advocating for human-centred AI\, education and the ethical distribut ion of AI.. \; She is the CEO and Cofounder of Personally identifiable Information Standards Architecture (PIISA)\, developing an open model to detect and remediate PII in AI models\; and is also a cofounding member of MyData Canada. \; She is also on the Board of Women in AI Ethics&trad e\; (WAIE)  \;. Each year we publish the 100 Brilliant Women in AI Eth ics elevated the voices of experts from multidisciplinary backgrounds and showcased the role of diverse perspectives in responsible design and devel opment of AI models and systems. In her work\, she aims to advance the qua lity of human-computer experiences through values-based innovation priorit izing human-centred design. Hessie is also an advisor and innovations mana ger at Altitude Accelerator. She is also a board member with Technology fo r Good Canada and a contributor to GritDaily\, and Forbes\, as well as a f ormer editor for Towards Data Science.

Marissa McNeelands

\n< p>Marissa is a visionary leader in the tech industry\, particularly known for her experience and influence in product management AI and its applicat ion in promoting diversity and equity. She holds a Master of Management in Artificial Intelligence from Queen's University and is the Founder and CE O of Toast\, a membership-based women's collective that connects and suppo rts women in tech. Toast was founded to combat the "lonely only syndrome" Marissa felt in so many of her technical leadership roles\, envisioning a solution to help companies diversify their talent pools and uplift their e mployees along the way. Marissa's work at Toast involves building an AI-po wered job recommendation engine that matches women with roles in companies committed to fostering gender equity. This initiative is part of her broa der goal to ensure women's representation in data and AI roles\, thereby a ddressing systemic gender biases in tech recruitment. Her efforts have ide ntified her as a changemaker in the tech industry and a champion of gender equity through innovative AI applications. \;

Tabassum Pasha

\n

Tabassum is the Co-founder and COO of WaiveTheWait\, a health te ch startup automating complex administrative workflows in a clinic\, allev iating the admin burden for physicians and staff. She graduated from Queen 's University with degrees in Commerce and Biology. Prior to WaiveTheWait she led AI projects at the Kingston General Hospital. \;
