 efore a deadline\, you've probably considered consulting the dark side. Wh
 at does an editor actually&nbsp\;do?&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>This month\, freelance
  editor and Editors Canada Ambassador Lisa Hislop will lift the veil on th
 e skills and services editors have to offer (which are unfortunately much 
 less ominous than we pretend). You're welcome to pop in and listen or come
  prepared to challenge her with your toughest editing questions.</p>\n<hr

 ces\, story coaching\, and workshops\, all aimed toward the mastery of the
  short story form. Lisa is a founding member of the Neurodivergent Publish
 ing Conference\, an ambassador for Editors Canada\, and a reader for Flash
  Fiction Magazine. She holds a Certificate in Editing from Simon Fraser Un
 iversity and a BA in French literature from the University of British Colu
