Since Election Day is on the first Tuesday of November and the library is a voting precinct\, we will be meeting on the second Tuesday of the month at 1 p.m. When we meet\, we start by shari ng books we&rsquo\;ve read recently\, then discuss that month&rsquo\;s boo k. You do not have to read the book to attend the meeting.
\nIn Nove mber\, in correlation with Native American Heritage Month\, we'll be discu ssing Wandering Stars by Tommy Orange. "Colorado\, 1864. Star\, a young survivor of the Sand Creek Massacre\, is brought to the Fort Marion prison castle\, where he is forced to learn Eng lish and practice Christianity by Richard Henry Pratt\, an evangelical pri son guard who will go on to found the Carlisle Indian Industrial School\, an institution dedicated to the eradication of Native history\, culture\, and identity.
