Mystery author Andrew Welsh-Huggins and hi storical fiction author Linda Kass kick off our Summer Reading Club with s hort talks about their books and outlier characters!

\nLinda Kass is the author of three historical novels \, Tasa&rsquo\;s Song (2016)\; A Ritchie Boy (2020)\, an IPPY Gold Medal Winner in Historical Fiction in 2021\; and Bessie\, named the Prose Finalist for the eighth annual Phillip H. McMath Post- Publication Book Award. She is well known around Central Ohio for her civi c leadership\, her strong advocacy of education\, literacy\, and the arts\ , and as the founder and owner of Gramercy Books\, an independent bookstor e located just east of downtown Columbus. Between writing and selling book s\, she&rsquo\;s also an assistant editor for the online literary magazine \, Narrative\, is a member of the Editorial Board of Trillium \, a regional imprint of The Ohio State University\, and serves on bo th the Ohio State University Foundation and Kenyon Review boards. Linda be gan her career as a magazine journalist and correspondent for regional and national publications.
\nAndrew Welsh-Huggins is the Shamus\, Derringer\, and ITW-award-nominated author of the Andy Hayes Private Eye series\, incl uding the upcoming Sick To Death\, and editor of Columbus Noi r. Kirkus called his latest crime novel\, The End of The Road\, &ldquo\;A crackerjack crime yarn chockablock with miscreants and a sup ersonic pace.&rdquo\; His short fiction has appeared in multiple magazines and anthologies.
