Discovering DNA walks participants through the six steps of the scientific method and shows them how to extract DNA from a strawberry. Ever wonder what DNA looked like with your naked eye? D o you want to know how much DNA is in a piece of fruit? Come join local sc ientists and learn how to extract DNA from food! A demonstration AND activ e hands-on experiment will be provided for attendees.
\nParticipants will be provided with worksheets to take home and instructions on how to do this experiment at home.
\nThis program is intended for kids ages 9-18\, and 6-8 with an adult.
