 base chemistry. Ever wonder why milk calms your stomach after eating spicy
  food? Do you want to test the acidity of your water at home? Come join lo
 cal scientists and learn how to use cabbage juice to pH test various at-ho
 me items! A demonstration AND active hands-on experiment will be provided 
 for attendees.</p>\n<p>Participants will be provided with worksheets to ta
 ke home and instructions on how to do this experiment at home.</p>\n<p>Thi
 s program is intended for kids ages 9-18\, and 6-8 with an adult.</p>\n<p>
 When kids and teens read 15 days each month between June and August\, they
