 present a free author visit featuring Minnesota author Will Weaver. Weaver
  will visit the Detroit Lakes Public Library to discuss his latest book\,&

 \;recordIndex=1&amp\;page=&amp\;referred=resultIndex"><em>Power &amp\; Lig
 ht</em></a>\, which is set in 1806 and follows a family's emigration from 
 Norway to North Dakota.</p>\n<p>Author Will Weaver grew up on a farm in Mi
 nnesota. His interest in literature took him to the University of Minnesot
 a and Stanford University. His first collections of short stories\,&nbsp\;
 <a href="https://catalog.larl.org/Hoopla/12112844?searchId=3513255&amp\;re
 cordIndex=2&amp\;page=&amp\;referred=resultIndex"><em>A Gravestone Made of
  Wheat</em></a>&nbsp\;won the Minnesota Book Award. The title story was ad
 apted in the award-winning indie feature film&nbsp\;<a href="https://catal
 og.larl.org/Record/80091?searchId=3513325&amp\;recordIndex=1&amp\;page=1&a
 mp\;referred=resultIndex"><em>Sweet Land</em></a>.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;He followe
