Rosemarie M. Esber\, Ph.D.\, is an oral hi storian and an international development professional. She has conducted o ral history projects about the 1948 Palestinian refugees\; Arab Americans of the Southern United States\; and White House journalist Helen Thomas. D r. Esber is the author of Under the Cover of War and has publishe d articles in various print and online journals. Her current research focu ses on Eleanor Roosevelt and North Africa during World War II. She was a F ulbright Scholar in Jeddah\, Saudi Arabia\, a CAORC Fellow to Jordan and L ebanon\, and an AIMS Fellow to Morocco. She earned degrees from the Univer sity of London &ndash\; School of Oriental and African Studies\, and The J ohns Hopkins University &ndash\; The Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced Inte rnational Studies\, and Marietta College. She is a resident of Alexandria\ , Virginia.
