A performance poet and fine artist\, Jeffery Boston Weatherford ha s lectured\, performed\, and led art and writing workshops in the US\, Wes t Africa\, and the Middle East. He illustrated the award-winning book You Can Fly: The Tuskegee Airman\, Call Me Miss Hamilton: One Wom an's Case for Equality and Respect\, and most recently\, Kin: Roo ted in Hope. He was also a Romare Bearden scholar at Howard Universit y\, where he earned a Master of Fine Arts degree.
