This is an open weekly series\, designed t o help knitters build up knitting skills &\; techniques. We will work o n one stitch for 2 weeks\, each week can stand alone\, designed for you to make a freestanding block or dishcloth\, or combine them all at completio n and learn how to stitch your beautiful blocks together into a sampler af ghan.

Illusion Knitting: It's not Magic...just fun to create! We'll learn the process of knitting so that the finished piece has a hidden image only viewable f rom an angle. Simply using knits and purls\, the effect is created by alte rnating rows of two colored yarns so that the raised stitches from one row block out the flat stitches of another row. The finished work looks like a simple striped pattern from the front\, but when viewed from an angle\, the image appears. \; Skills include reading charts.
