  of the American Cancer Society\, to learn about annual giving and tips fo

  communicate your nonprofit&rsquo\;s mission\, launch your marketing effor
 ts\, research prospects\, and build and develop a base of donors while lev

  the presenter: Sharla Jolly</strong> has more than 30 years of experience
  with communications\, marketing\, and fundraising in higher education and
  nonprofit environments\, and she enjoys working with non-profits to devel
 op solid fundraising plans that can help them meet their long-term goals. 
 Sharla currently serves as a Senior Development Manager for the American C
 ancer Society (ACS) where she oversees the Coaches vs Cancer of Illinois e
 vent among other responsibilities. Prior to ACS\, Sharla served as the Dir
 ector of Leadership Giving at Carle Health\, led the development team at C
 unningham Children&rsquo\;s Home\, and worked on annual giving and steward
 ship practices in the Annual Giving Office at the University of Illinois.<
 /p>\n<p>Sharla received her Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journa
 lism from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. She has lived in the
  Champaign-Urbana community for more than thirty years and is very active 
 in the community through the Association of Fundraising Professionals of E
 ast Central Illinois\, United Way of Champaign County\, Rotary Club of Cha
 mpaign and more. She and her husband have four adult children and a 7-poun
