  Arkansas Energy &amp\; Environment Innovation Plan\, and get a peek at a 
 new online mapping tool developed to help local landowners\, planners\, an
 d decision-makers identify ecologically valuable land that will assist the
 m in their efforts to improve sustainability and resilience in our region.
 </p>\n<p>Fayetteville&rsquo\;s Climate Action Plan was developed to help t
 he city reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 and to implement nature-ba
 sed climate adaptation goals to enhance ecosystem services and adaptive re
 silience.</p>\n<p>The NWA Energy &amp\; Environment Innovation Plan is cur
 rently being developed to promote a sustainable and resilient future for t
 he region\, and to support investment in measures and solutions that reduc
 e greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions\, create high-quality jobs\, spur economi
 c growth\, and enable access to and enhance NWA competitiveness for federa
 l funding opportunities.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p></p>\n<p><strong>About the Present
 ers</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Peter Nierengarten</strong>\, P.E. is the Env
 ironmental Director for the City of Fayetteville where he manages the city
 &rsquo\;s Sustainability and Resilience Department. In his role as Environ
 mental Director\, Peter focuses on initiatives that improve livability and
  reduce the energy and carbon footprint for the city through energy effici
 ency\, renewable energy\, waste reduction\, sustainability\, and active tr
 ansportation.</p>\n<p><strong>Tim Conklin</strong>\, AICP is the Executive
  Director for the Northwest Arkansas Regional Planning Commission. In his 
 role as Executive Director\, Tim oversees regional planning efforts and wo
 rks to build coalitions and foster dialogue between the various municipali
 ties\, counties\, and agencies that comprise northwest Arkansas to improve
  quality of life in the region and ensure a bright future for its resident
 s.</p>\n<p><strong>Eric Fuselier</strong>\, ENV SP is an environmental pro
 ject manager at Olsson and an Envision Sustainability Professional. At Ols
 son\, Eric worked with both the City of Fayetteville and the Northwest Ark
 ansas Regional Planning Commission to develop the plans covered in this pr
