Everyone should have an opportunity to lea rn about computer science! Coding for fun is an introduction to computer s cience and uses self-led tutorials over the course of one hour. The goal o f the "Hour of Code" tutorials is not to teach everyone to become an exper t in computer science\, but allows everyone to have fun\, improve problem solving skills\, logic\, reading for understanding\, and to be creative. T his builds a great foundation for learning computer languages and how to w rite a code for younger ages. \; In this session of Coding for Fun we will learn basic video game development\, motion in 3D space and learn fun damental programming concepts like loops\, conditionals\, variables\, and keyboard events\, all in less than an hour. Program is limited to 6 partic ipants. \; \;
\nThis program was designed for 2nd grade and up\, but younger children may attend if an adult is present to assist the m. Children in sixth grade or younger must be directly supervised by a res ponsible parent\, guardian\, or caregiver while in the Maker Lab. Supervis ing adults do not need to register for the program. \;
