DESCRIPTION:48 hours to write\, shoot\, edit\, and upload a film! Come to 
 the Duluth library between 6 and 7pm on Friday\, July 19th to register you
 rself or your team to take part in the library's first 48-Hour Film Fest. 
 The theme\, act\, or situation that must be included in the film will be a
 nnounced at 7pm when the clock begins. Participants only need to be at the
  library for registration and theme announcement. Films must be uploaded b
 y 7pm on Sunday the 21st to be accepted. Read the rules below!.\nhttps://g

 \n<li>Registration will begin at 6pm on Friday\, July 19th and go until 7p
 m when the countdown begins. Registration will only be in-person and will 
 be the only time when participants are required to be at the library. Thos
 e who did not make it to registration and wish to partake will be allowed 
 to register\, per the discretion of the facilitators\, by emailing the Lea
 rning Labs.</li>\n<li>There will be either a theme\, situation\, or act th
 at must be included in the film\, or face massive point deduction.</li>\n<
 li>Any films uploaded after 7pm on Sunday the 21st will be automatically d
 isqualified\, unless anyone from the crew has contacted the facilitators a
 nd given an acceptable reason for the delay.</li>\n<li>Participants may en
 ter solo or with a crew. There must be a crew representative who takes res
 ponsibility for being the point of contact. The crew representative must b
 e at least 12 years old. If under 18\, a parent/guardian must be present a
 t registration.</li>\n<li>At least the crew representative must be present
  for registration. They may register for other members of the crew and spe
 cify their role(s). A participant can only be a crew representative once. 
 A participant may hold any numbers of roles in a single crew. A participan
 t with small roles may be on a total of two crews\, example: crew 1 role -
  production assistant\, crew 2 role - minor acting role.</li>\n<li>Films m
 ay have co-directors.</li>\n<li>Crew members can be added after the start 
 of the countdown. The finalized crew list will be submitted with the film.
 </li>\n<li>Films can be live-action or animated.</li>\n<li>Films must be a
 t least 45 seconds long\, not including credits. There is no maximum lengt
 h.</li>\n<li>Films must be mp4 or mov files. If we cannot play and view th
 e film\, it may be disqualified. Films can be any resolution.</li>\n<li>Cr
 edits are not mandatory\, but are a plus.</li>\n<li>Films must contain app
 ropriate content and be equivalent to PG-13.</li>\n<li>Films will be uploa
 ded through a Google form. Each film will be submitted with a submission f
 orm and a video release form\, signed by the representative\, and a parent
 /guardian if under 18.</li>\n<li>For judging\, crews will be split into on
 e of three categories based on the experience level of the main crew (dire
 ctor/DP). Categorization will be at the discretion of the facilitators. A 
 breakdown of each category will be posted on our website before the compet
 ition and at registration.</li>\n<li>The film submitted must have been mad
 e for the Summer 48-Hour Film Fest. Writing and all aspects of film produc
 tion must have started after the countdown began. The film cannot include 
 video from any previous projects. Exception: Using already-existing audio 
 is acceptable.</li>\n<li>Use of media from other sources is not permitted 
 unless those clips are in the public domain\, or you have received permiss
 ion from the copyright holder. If you have obtained the rights to use a pi
 ece of media\, documentation must be submitted with your film. Submitting 
 a film with copyrighted content and failing to include documentation may r
 esult in the film being disqualified or significant point deduction. This 
 includes content created with AI.</li>\n<li>Films must not infringe third-
 party's rights and cannot contain the following: obscene material\, defama
 tory statements about any person\, company\, organization or entity. Films
  may not invade privacy or other rights of any person\, company or entity\
 , and may not in any other way violate applicable laws and regulations.</l
 i>\n<li>Participants may use Learning Lab resources\, including use of Rec
 ording Studios and equipment. Normal Learning Lab rules for reserving and 
 using the Labs will still be in place.</li>\n<li>As of now\, there are no 
 plans for a screening.</li>\n<li>THERE ARE NO AWARDS OF ANY KIND FOR PARTI
 CIPATING/WINNING THE 48-HOUR FILM FEST.</li>\n<li>These rules are subject 
 to change at the discretion of the facilitators. The most up-to-date rules
