X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p>As parents\, we all want to feel connected
with our children. We want to create nourishing relationships built on lo
ve and trust.<br /><br />Helping our children to learn to be resilient in
the face of today&rsquo\;s challenges and mental health struggles is one o
f our key roles as a parent. Using personal stories not only helps our chi
ldren learn these skills\, but it also helps us to build connected relatio
 nships.<br /><br />Led by<strong> Andy McNeilly</strong>\, this workshop i
s filled with stories and examples of how to do this at home. You will wal
k away with simple strategies to help your children learn the skills to be
come more resilient and face the challenges of today&rsquo\;s world.</p>\n
<p>As a primary school teacher\, Andy McNeilly noticed that schools were d
oing a great job of teaching the academics\, but students were lacking soc
ial and emotional learning skills. He started to run some workshops to hel
p parents\, and after receiving great feedback\, he decided to write a boo
 k. <em>Connecting with Your Kids</em> was Andy&rsquo\;s first book\, relea
 sed in 2019. His second book\, <em>Connecting with your Teens</em>\, was r
eleased in 2023.</p>\n<p>Up to 20 participants aged 18+. For parents\, edu
cators and aspiring writers.</p>\n<p>Tickets $20pp OR $10pp for library me
