X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p>This is a 3-class series (2 weeks per clas
 s) running&nbsp\;<strong>Tuesdays\, August 6 through September 10&nbsp\;</
 strong>from 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.</p>\n<p>If you want more than one col
 or in your project\, that&rsquo\;s <em>Colorwork</em>. It&rsquo\;s importa
nt to note that not all colorwork techniques are suitable for every projec
 t. We'll explore 3 techniques\, look at the advantages and how each is bes
t suited for specific projects.&nbsp\; Learn how to incorporate leftover s
craps of yarn for <strong>Intarsia</strong> (creating blocks of color)\, o
r use that not quite full skein for <strong>Mosaic</strong> (slip stitch l
ines of color) or <strong>Stranded</strong> (simple to complex patterns of
  color - also known as <strong>Fair Isle</strong> knitting).</p>\n<p style
 ="padding-left: 120px\;"><strong>Session 1</strong>: We'll focus on <stron
 g>Intarsia</strong>&nbsp\;which creates blocks of color.&nbsp\;Sometimes c
alled &ldquo\;picture knitting&rdquo\;\, we'll discover how to switch colo
rs mid-row to create large areas of color to knit a square swatch with a h
 eart motif.</p>\n<p style="padding-left: 120px\;"><strong>Session 2:</stro
ng>&nbsp\;Using <strong>Mosaic</strong> knitting\, only one color is used
per row and by using slip stitches\, we'll create a beautiful design block
that can be used as a coaster\, dishcloth\, potholder or afghan square.</
 p>\n<p style="padding-left: 120px\;"><strong>Session 3:</strong> The most
complex color technique is <strong>Stranded or Fair Isle knitting</strong>
.&nbsp\; We'll look at different techniques on how to hold two different c
olors of yarn as we incorporate color&nbsp\;into an intricate pattern.</p>
