Get out\, get active\, and enjoy all the b enefits that come from walking! This session is led by \;Leanne Fernan dez\, occupational therapist from the Burlington Family Health Team. She d iscusses how brain function changes as we age\, and how to optimize brain function and memory with exercises and activities. After the talk\, spend the rest of the hour enjoying a healthy \;walk.
\nPlease arrive 10 minutes before the walk. Meet us near the Fireplace area at the Tansley Woods Branch. We will then move to the outdoor space at Tansley Woods\, f acing the grassy field just in front of the library parking lot (just sout h of Upper Middle).
\nWalking is a wonderful form of physical activi ty and we encourage all levels of walking ability to participate in this e vent&mdash\;whether you complete the entire walk or join us for part of th e journey! Walking devices\, mobility aids\, and walking companions are we lcome. All participants must sign a waiver\, which is provided at the star t of the walk.
