  Two-Sentence Scary Story Contest. Stories can&nbsp\;be about any hair-rai
 sing\, spine-chilling topic you desire\, but they must be two sentences (3
 00 characters or less) in length.</p>\n<p>The contest starts on Tuesday\,&
 nbsp\;<strong>September 17\,</strong> and is open to amateur writers 14 an
 d older. Submissions are accepted until Sunday\,&nbsp\;<strong>October 20<
 /strong>\, 2024. Works must be previously unpublished in print or online. 
 Stories that do not follow the 2-sentence rule will be disqualified.&nbsp\
 ;Content must be for general audiences. We will not accept entries with ex
 plicit or mature content. Limit of 2 entries per person.&nbsp\;All submiss
 ions must be proofread for spelling and grammatical errors.</p>\n<p><br />
 <strong>Age Categories</strong></p>\n<p>High School</p>\n<p>Adult</p>\n<p>
 <br /><strong>Prizes</strong></p>\n<p>Each category will have one winner. 
 All winners will receive a $25 Barnes &amp\; Noble gift card\, a scary new
  novel\, and a special scary prize made in the library&rsquo\;s Makerspace
 . Prizes will be claimed in person.</p>\n<p><strong>Judging</strong></p>\n
 <p>Our Adult and Youth Reference library staff will oversee the judging pr
 ocess.&nbsp\;Winners will be announced on Friday\, October 25\, 2024\, and
  published on the library website for the rest of the month and posted on 
 our social media channels.</p>\n<p><strong>How to Enter</strong></p>\n<p>C
 omplete the online registration form to&nbsp\;submit your two-sentence sto
 ry online\, or bring it to the Adult Services Desk at the Harnish Main Lib
 rary. Stories submitted in person should be printed (not handwritten) and 
 your submission should include the following: entrant&rsquo\;s full name\,
  age category\, phone number\, and email address.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p><strong>Q
