Whether for cosplay or movie prop\, the fi rst step into costuming is selecting the material in which it will be cons tructed. In this two part series we will show you the basic tools and mate rials you&rsquo\;ll need to get started. Foam comes in all shapes\, sizes\ , density and prices that will fit your budget. We&rsquo\;ll discuss what software to use and where to find easy ready-made templates.

Part 1: \;Wednesday\, August 14th

Customize templates and select materials for fabrication. Students will c ut the template and the foam in preparation for Part 2.

Pa rt 2: Wednesday\, August 21st

\n

Assemble the project pieces using contact cement. Practice using the Dremel tool to clean seams and e dges.
