Contemporary African Diaspora Art (CADA) i s hosting panel discussions\, lectures\, and workshops centered on the cul tural and intellectual resources inherent in traditional Central and West African masks and sculptural production\, with a particular focus on Afric an spirituality.
\nThe ongoing exhibition "Symbols of Spirit" at the African American Research Library and Cultural Center (AARLC) serves as t he foundational point of departure for these events. This exhibition\, run ning through December 2024\, aims to explore and unpack the diversity and complexities of Central and Western African spirituality\, ontology\, and cosmology. \; Ludlow Bailey\, the guest curator of the exhibit serves as the Managing Director of CADA\, and will moderate the panel discussion.
