 ew sustainable and desirable horizons.</p>\n<p>Continuing our attention to
 &nbsp\;<em>Ministry for the Future</em>\, we will be having a virtual conv
 ersation with acclaimed author Kim Stanley Robinson\, who states: "We are 
 living through historic times &mdash\; the most widely tumultuous period o
 f transformation and catastrophe for the planet since the end of World War
  II\, with overlapping political\, social\, economic\, and ecological cris
 es&hellip\;.. that threaten to turn the coming decades into hell on Earth&
 rdquo\;. &nbsp\;He will be joined by Herb Simmens\, city planner and autho
 r of&nbsp\;<em>A Climate Vocabulary of the Future</em>\,&nbsp\;who propose
 s a Futures Commission at every level of government. &nbsp\; A Futures Com
 mission\, made up of a broad cross section of the community\, and in parti
 cular\, our unrepresented young people\, as well as those most vulnerable 
 to climate change\, would enable a new awareness and creative responses to
  the worsening challenges and opportunities ahead.</p>\n<p><strong>Registr
