\nCellist
Nikita Annenkov is a \;first generation American of Russian-
Uzbek descent who started playing cello at 7 years old. He is currently an
associate cellist of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra and \;has partic
ipated in Columbus&rsquo\; own Chamber Music Connection both as a fellow s
tudent and a teacher\, as well as music festivals such as Interlochen Cent
er for the Arts\, Orford Music Academy\, Chautauqua Festival
and Glen
n Korff School of Music Chamber Music Institute and NPR&rsquo\;s From the
Top! Nikita has also participated in numerous masterclasses with world ren
owned cellists such as Robert DeMaine\, Nathaniel Rosen\, Alisa Weilerstei
n and Johannes Moser\, as well as chamber music artists such as Chiara\, J
upiter\, Ying and Cavani Quartets and Claremont Trio.
Praised for her &ldquo\;elegant poetic virtuosity&rdquo\; and &ldquo\;subtlety stylish ness&rdquo\;(via World Journal Newspaper\, LA)\, pianist Yihan Zha ng Annenkova embarked on her piano journey at age three\, gave he r first public recital the following year. At age nine Yihan made her conc erto debut with China National Symphony Orchestra under Maestro Li Xiao-Lu \, performing Mozart&rsquo\;s Piano Concerto No.17. In 2010\, Yihan moved to the United States to continue her pre-college music education at Northw estern University under professor Alan Chow. Currently residing in Columbu s\, Yihan divides her time between teaching\, solo and collaborative perfo rmances\, and abstract painting\, photography and cooking in between.
