DESCRIPTION:Bounce Back & Thrive! (BBT) is a resiliency skills training pr
 ogram for caregivers of children under the age of 8.   This is a 10-week v

  thinking skills that increase their capacity to provide caring relationsh
 ips and role model resilience-building skills in daily interactions with t
 heir children. Then\, it shows parents how to directly introduce basic res
 iliency skills to children. BBT is an interactive program delivered throug
 h information exchange\, hands-on activities\, video clips of parents and 
 children\, discussion and skills practice. BBT uses a relationship-based\,
  cognitive-behavioral and social problem-solving approach combined with se
 lf-regulation strategies.</p>\n<p><strong>PART 1</strong> <strong>focuses 
 on enhancing the capacity of parents to provide caring relationships and r
 ole model skills that build resilience in their daily interactions with th
 eir children.</strong></p>\n<p>Exploring how caring relationships\, positi
 ve role models and a strengths-based approach help build resilience in you
 ng children.</p>\n<p>Building self-regulation skills to:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>En
 hance how we regulate our emotions and control our impulses</li>\n<li>Refl
 ect on our reactions to stressful circumstances.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Learning 
 key thinking skills including:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Easy ways to understand how 
 thoughts cause reactions that either help or hinder responding with resili
 ence to situations</li>\n<li>Techniques to identify non-resilient &ldquo\;
 thinking habits&rdquo\; and deeply-rooted beliefs that cause relationship 
 difficulties and block effective responses to opportunities</li>\n<li>Tech
 niques to develop flexible thinking and find alternative ways to respond t
 o conflict\, problems and stress.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong></strong></p>\n<
 p><strong>PART 2 helps parents apply behavior guidance and resiliency-buil
